It’s amazing to think that HAL are preparing to release their sophomore album a whole seven years after their eponymous debut hit the shelves in 2005. After suffering from writer’s block and then travelling extensively, David Allen finally reunited with the other band members and the result is the forthcoming Down In The Valley EP, which is released on 27th February and offers fans the first taste of material from The Time The Hour, which is set for release on the 16th April.
You can listen to the title track from the EP below. It’s a great little tune with a really interesting intro made up of vocal harmonies and then a fantastic segment where the song goes quiet and gradually builds back up to speed accompanied only by a steadily increasing drumbeat.
